I love to jet away – a great form of escapism; away from my busy routine. You either travel or you go on holiday – the two are very different from each other, however both can be enjoyed simultaneously. A balance of travel and relaxation is the perfect get away for me. Today’s short but sweet post is all about my holiday wish list and where I’ve visited to date. I thoroughly enjoy time away with family and friends just as much as I’ve enjoyed a solo trip. I will write a separate blog post about my solo adventures as my experience was pretty incredible! I liketo travel outside of the UK at least once a year, for my own sanity really and to experience life outside England. It’s healthy for the mind, body and soul. So key. I could get carried away with all the benefits to getting away, but as I promised, I’m keeping this post short enough to see if any of my wish list holidays are places you’ve visited and simply bring back great memories.
My ultimate holiday wish list;
- Majority of India
- Cook Islands
- New York (during Christmas)
Get out there and explore!
I’d also would LOVE to witness the Northern Lights, trek the Himalayas, walk the Great Wall of China, work at an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai – not really asking for much am I? I’d say i’m pretty adventurous, I love the great outdoors – there’s too much beauty in the world to live a sheltered life.
Here are a list of countries I’ve visited to date either with family, friends or solo:
- Rhodes x2
- Norway x3
- Turkey x3
- Hong Kong
- France – Nice/Cannes/Antibes/Monaco
- Italy – Tuscany/Florence/Sienna/Pisa
May not be a lot of places to some however I count myself as being very fortunate and blessed to have been able to spend time at these places and witness beauty. What’s on your holiday bucket list?
